King Street Confirmed as Location for FirstGroup's New Global Headquarters
We announced in December 2006 that King Street, Aberdeen would be the location for our new global headquarters and Aberdeen bus depot. King Street has been our headquarters since the Group was established. The redevelopment of the site takes advantage of new construction techniques and logistics since we last reviewed the location’s use.
We are delighted to announce that our planning application to redevelop the King Street site has been approved by Aberdeen City Council and we now expect to start work on the site in late 2007. The new plan allows us to redevelop the site to provide First with a new global headquarters, a new national training centre and a new bus depot.
