First Transit Signs New Contract for Transit Services with Estuary Transit District in Old Saybrook, Conn.

First Transit, Inc., a leading private provider of transit management and contracting services, has been awarded the contract for the Estuary Transit District bus transit system in Old Saybrook, Conn., beginning January 2009. First Transit is part of Cincinnati-based FirstGroup America, North America’s largest transportation company.
The contract includes the operation, maintenance and management of a fleet of 12 transit buses which serve a nine-town area in south central Connecticut.
