FRS Manager wins at FTPE Customer Excellence Awards

On Saturday 12th November staff and contractors for First TransPennine Express gathered at the Palace Hotel in Manchester for the annual Customer Excellence Awards. Mick Schofield, FRS' Standards and Projects Manager was nominated in the Contract Employee of the Year Managerial category by George Thomas in recognition for his work on the Arnside blockade and the rail replacement contract in general.
 
His award reads, “Mick was selected because he leads by example and has made every effort to improve the contract between FTPE and First Rail Support.  He spends a lot of his time on the frontline, developing a strong rapport with his staff and customers.
 
He has also significantly helped with the planning of replacement buses,  and his work
on the Arnside blockade saw a lot of customer praise and only a minimal number of complaints.”
