With offices throughout the UK First Travel Solutions has a wealth of experience in this specialist field. Around 50 hand picked, proven staff are able to bring significant combined experience in ensuring that the highest standards of service delivery are consistently maintained.

We utilise drivers and vehicles on planned work, setting up stand-alone operations in key areas if volumes dictate. This gives us unrivalled control of vehicle and driver standards, using the most modern fuel-efficient vehicles and enabling us to ensure that our staff are trained to meet the customer's requirements. We only use carefully selected operators who are assessed and carefully briefed prior to commencing any operations.

Each supplier's vehicles, staff and systems are carefully managed through our on-line transport management and booking system, and vetted by our own contract compliance team.

Expertise on Call

One call gives direct access to FTS's 24-hour support service that monitors all transport movements so that our logistics staff have a real-time overview of your project. We can forewarn of potential traffic trouble spots or other hold ups, advise on route changes and supply clients with accurate timings throughout the UK.

Supplier Compliance

FTS operate a very strict compliance regime with all of its operators. Our bespoke on-line software solution, records and manages all of the following supplier information:

  • Operators Licenses
  • Fleet Insurance Details
  • Public & Employees Liability Insurances

All of this information, including specific supplier details e.g. types of vehicles, vehicle facilities and driver information such as Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks, are held within our software systems.

When FTS recruit vehicles, suppliers can be sourced at the touch of a button based on customer requirements.

Supplier Tracking

All vehicles are tracked by FTS's 24-hour vehicle control centre.

Direct contact is made with either drivers or operators at predetermined tracking points prior to contacting travelers with up to date information. Where there are multiple pick-up points FTS track vehicles at each individual point.

Invoicing & Payment

FTS can provide various invoicing options to suit client requirements. Receiving just one invoice each week, fortnight or month from FTS ensures that you really do reduce the amount of time spent processing invoices and payments.

Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

At the start of any new relationship or contract, FTS ensure they have a clear understanding of their clients' requirements and that both parties have agreed terms and conditions in place. These terms of supply are often specific to individual projects or contracts and are therefore usually drawn up and agreed prior to the commencement of any work.

By way of example, the following SLAs show the type of service that you can expect when working with FTS:

  • Our service centre operates 24-hours a day, 365-days a year. At any time of the day or night a trained member of our team will be available to take your call and provide a seamless solution to your travel service requirements
  • Calls to your designated direct FTS contact number will be answered within 30 seconds
  • On placing your booking we will provide travel services as booked to a location at a time and for a period to be determined by you
  • Vehicles will be tracked 10 minutes prior to collection, when passenger is on board and at arrival at destination
  • In the event of a vehicle breakdown FTS will replace the vehicle with an alternative vehicle
