Our Focus

Buses are currently the most frequently used public transport option for local journeys. However, they suffer from poor perception and practical road space problems. The initial focus of 'f t r' is to overcome these problems with an integrated approach, tackling issues such as frequency, service quality, ticketing, vehicle design, infrastructure, engineering and route management.

'f t r' is being positioned as a hybrid mode taking the best from the bus in terms of affordability, accessibility and flexibility, with the best from the tram in terms of image, dedicated infrastructure and perceived reliability.
