'f t r' will be operated using a vehicle called StreetCar being developed by The Wright Group, the UK’s leading supplier of accessible vehicles for public transportation systems throughout the country. The Wright Group has pioneered low floor buses in the UK and has earned a reputation for producing vehicles that are stylish, durable, high in quality and packed with innovative features.

The design of the new vehicle reflects a significant input from customers, managers and frontline staff – perhaps the most radical reconsideration of an urban transport vehicle since the Routemaster in the 1950s.

We are working with local authorities in towns and cities across the UK to develop suitable 'f t r' corridors. Each local authority is at a different stage in how they see the concept. Cities such as York, Swansea, Bath, Bristol, Leeds, Sheffield and Glasgow are very keen, and there are many others who are keen to find out.
