Greyhound, the world’s most famous bus brand, has been operating direct services between Bournemouth and London for one month, but such has been demand that the company has started operating additional coaches.

Greyhound has added a 1345 service from London to Bournemouth and an 1115 service from Bournemouth to London, available now, both stopping in Southampton.

And the company also announced an additional 0805 service from Bournemouth direct to London and 2130 service from London to Bournemouth, with a stop in Southampton, from 10 July.

Managing Director of Greyhound UK, Alex Warner, said he was overwhelmed with the demand for the services.  He said: “Our services to Bournemouth have been hugely popular and I am delighted that we have added extra services.”

He continued: “There is no doubt that our luxurious coaches, quick journey times and cheap fares have attracted lots of new customers.  However, what we are particularly pleased with is the feedback from our London based customers who have told us that providing a direct service to the seafront is very appealing. We are the only operator that does so.  The last couple of weeks or so, for example, our Greyhound services to Bournemouth have been packed with Londoners looking for a bit of sunshine by the beach.”

Greyhound offers unrivalled product and service quality with a large range of cheap fares starting from £1, plus 50p booking fee, on www.greyhounduk.com

Onboard features include leather seating, free wi-fi, power sockets, air-conditioning and complimentary newspapers.  Greyhound coaches have 41 seats rather than the 50 or so typically operated by other coach companies meaning 20% more leg room for customers.

Greyhound operates services daily to London leaving from the Seafront (Pier Approach) at 0705 1120 and 1805 and Bournemouth Interchange (0710, 1120 and 1810) arriving at Bulleid Way, Victoria, London.  Services from London to Bournemouth operate daily at 0845, 1345 and 1730.  From 10 July Greyhound will run an additional 0805 service from Bournemouth to London and an additional 2130 service from London to Bournemouth.

Greyhound also operates direct services between London and Southampton and London and Portsmouth.
