Matt Wood Named Senior Vice President of First Transit for East Region

First Transit President Brad Thomas is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Wood as senior vice president. Effective October 1, 2009, he will be responsible for overseeing transit services in the East Region.
“Matt’s experience and the positive work he has done in his current position makes him an ideal candidate,” Thomas said. “I am eager to see what new and innovative direction he takes us in down the road.”
Wood has more than 14 years of transportation experience, including 10 with First Transit where he currently serves as the senior vice president of the Transit Management Division.
“With this move, I look forward to building upon the East Region’s continued success,” Wood said. “Providing safe, reliable and sustainable transportation to our customers will remain our top priority.”
In addition, Wood serves on First Transit’s Executive Management Committee and is a member of the American Public Transportation Association where he serves on their Paratransit Call Center Best Practice workgroup.
