Greyhound Brings Express To Lone Star State
Tuesday 14 February 2012
On the heels of its recent one-year anniversary of Greyhound Express™, Greyhound today announced it is expanding its premium service offering guaranteed seats, free wi-fi and $1 fares to Texas by adding routes between Dallas and Houston. Service begins Feb. 29 and tickets are now on sale starting at $1 at www.mygreyhoundexpress.com. Greyhound is the first company to bring a premium-level, low-fare intercity bus service to Texas.
“Today’s expansion into Texas signifies that Greyhound Express is rapidly becoming the type of service customers prefer, covering four major regions of the United States — Midwest, Northeast, Southeast and South – and also in Alberta, Canada,” said Dave Leach, president and CEO, Greyhound. “Last month, we celebrated our one-year anniversary by launching service in Florida. We’re proud nearly 1.3 million customers have experienced this new premium service since it launched. Greyhound Express has proved to be a service that our customers truly appreciate.”
Customers riding Greyhound Express experience modern buses with a guaranteed seat, free Wi-Fi, power outlets, extra legroom and leather seats. Customers can buy their Express ticket online to take advantage of discount pricing, including fares starting as low as $1, and print their ticket at home or pick it up at a self-service ticketing kiosk. Express customers also can relax in private waiting areas with a guest services specialist dedicated to providing an extra level of customer service.
Greyhound Express provides short-distance non-stop or one-stop service originating from major Greyhound service hubs including New York, Washington D.C., Chicago and Atlanta. For those who need long-distance connections, stations along Greyhound Express routes allow travellers to connect to more than 3,800 Greyhound destinations throughout North America. Aiming to introduce customers to a wholly new, faster bus travel experience, the service underscores independence from traditional, more expensive travel.
Greyhound is the largest North American provider of intercity bus transportation, serving more than 3,800 destinations across the continent.
