There are a number of events taking place over the coming months that may affect our services.
These events will attract followings, resulting in significantly more passengers using our network.
If you are travelling on any of the dates below, please check services prior to your journey and allow plenty of time.
Due to increased demand, it’s best to buy your ticket in advance, though seating cannot always be guaranteed.
For your own comfort, we advise that wherever possible you try to schedule your journey to avoid the volume of passenger traffic before and after these events. Queuing plans and alcohol bans may be in place at key stations for some events.
Football 2008
Saturday 24 May Queen of the South v Rangers KO at 1500
Services in and out of Glasgow Central to Mount Florida may be affected at peak times when games are played at Hampden.
First ScotRail, in conjunction with Queen of The South Football Club, has arranged for an 8 car Special Train to operate between Dumfries and Glasgow Central, fans will then travel on scheduled services between Glasgow Central and Mount Florida.

Cost of through ticket to Mount Florida using this special service is £14.50, tickets are on sale now. Subject to availability, seat guaranteed.
Tickets are valid for the special service only and adult only fares apply. Tickets are subject to availability, are non-refundable and no further discounts are available.
Please note that alcohol is prohibited on this service.
Queuing systems will be in place at Dumfries and Glasgow Central and additional staff will be present at both locations to provide customer assistance.

Please be aware that due to engineering works in the Rutherglen area on Sundays 22 & 29 June, there will be no trains between Partick, Exhibition Centre, Glasgow Central low level, Bridgeton, Rutherglen & Cambuslang.
A replacement bus service will be in operation between the stations listed.
These works are also on Sundays 6 & 13 July which will effect Kylie Minogue concert goers.
Sunday 22 - Tuesday 24 June - Boyzone - Engineering works will affect services to and from the Exhibition Centre station.
Friday 27 and Sunday 29 June - Dolly Parton- Engineering works will affect services to and from the Exhibition Centre station.
Thursday 5, 6, 8 & 9 July - Kylie - Engineering works will affect services to and from the Exhibition Centre station.
