Accessing JourneyCheck By WAP
WAP on a mobile phone can be tricky to use but, once you get used to it, WAP can be great for accessing info – like JourneyCheck – wherever you are. The WAP service can be found at http://wap.jcheck.com/fsr
This should be set up as a bookmark on your phone. Accessing this will present you with information about:
- today’s engineering works
- future engineering works
- line problems
- service problems
JourneyCheck will first show you a summary of the number of incidents relating to the above items. If any item has a problem, it automatically becomes a selectable link through to the specific problem.
Scrolling down from the title page allows you to enter a departure (‘From’) or arrival location (‘To’). Enter the first three letters of the location(s), then
scroll down and click on ‘Search’. If there are multiple options, you will be prompted to choose one. Once you have selected your chosen location, a
filtered list of the disruption that affects that station/line will appear.
Scrolling through the list of options will also show departure board and/or arrival board options. This allows you to display which services are next to depart or arrive at your chosen stations.
If you make a regular journey, you can save your ‘From’ and ‘To’ locations by bookmarking the page. In this way, it is possible to quickly check your route in the morning, or by clicking on ‘switch stations’, your route home in the evening.
