Prestwick International Airport
Prestwick Airport is approximately 35 miles from Glasgow City Centre, and has its own station, Prestwick International, linked to the Airport by a walkway. Prestwick International station is on the Glasgow Central - Ayr route. Through fares are available between Prestwick International Airport station and all First ScotRail stations. Free or discounted fares may be available when buying your rail tickets, depending on your flight destination. Currently, passengers travelling to Krakow get free travel to and from Prestwick International Airport. To get your free travel tickets, produce the correct documentation (see below) at a First ScotRail Booking Office, where you'll be issued with a travel voucher; on returning via Prestwick, pick up your travel voucher at the Customer Services desk before proceeding to the train. These free tickets are not available on train. Passengers travelling between Prestwick Airport and all other destinations can get 50% off their First ScotRail tickets by producing flight tickets either at First ScotRail Booking Offices or from on-train staff on the day of travel. Bookings for these tickets are not available on line, from First ScotRail Telesales or from Travel Agents. Rail and Sail tickets to Ireland Rail and sail tickets to Ireland (Belfast) are available via Stranraer (by First ScotRail and StenaLine). Tickets can be booked at main First ScotRail stations, rail appointed travel agents or by calling Telesales on 08457 55 00 33. VIA STRANRAER (STENA LINE) Trains from Glasgow Central to Stranraer take a little over two hours. See timetable.
