How do I submit my application form?

Are there any deadlines for applications to be submitted by?
There are no deadlines for entries. First Aberdeen will accept applications throughout the year. Please note applications can take between 6 to 10 weeks to process, therefore please ensure your application is submitted well in advance of your required financial commitment or activity.
If I am not a registered Charity, can I still apply?
Yes individuals and community groups are welcome to apply as long as applications are supported by a First Aberdeen employee.
Is there a limit, financially to how much I can apply for?
Our Community Involvement Programme receive a high number of applications every month and we have a limited budget. There is therefore a limit of £1,000 placed on applications. Should your financial commitment be higher than this, we would direct you to the FirstGroup Charity and Sponsorship Committee.
My application was turned down, can I re-apply?
You can apply up to 4 times in any one calendar year. If you have previously received funding from First Aberdeen, you can re-apply one year after your successful application.
Why was my application unsuccessful and can I obtain feedback?
Any decision made by First Aberdeen with regards applications is final. First Aberdeen will not, under any circumstances, enter into any discussion with an applicant regarding any decision. First Aberdeen receives large volumes of applications every month and unfortunately we are unable to give donations to every application received.
How long does the application process take?
Applications received are reviewed on a monthly basis but may take 6 to 10 weeks to process. Please ensure you have allowed for these timescales when you submit your application.
