Your First Travel Centre is there to help you make the most of First's bus services throughout Aberdeen. Here's some of the most frequent questions asked by you and the answers.
First season tickets (week, 4 week and 12 week) can all be purchased from any PayPoint outlet in Aberdeen city. To find your nearest PayPoint outlet either use this website or ask one of our Travel Advisors. Alternatively you can also purchase 4 week, 12 week, 6 month, FirstAnnual or Park & Ride tickets online.
First Season tickets can be dated from whatever date best suits your requirements. From the day of purchase or dated at a time in advance to best suit your travelling needs.
All major credit and debit cards, switch or cash are accepted as payment for tickets and other goods purchased at the First Travel Centre. The only credit card NOT accepted is American Express.
First season tickets are non refundable and will not be replaced should they be stolen or lost. This is clearly stated within the Terms & Conditions carried on the back of every First season ticket sold. However, season ticket replacement insurance is available and can be purchased from the Travel Advisor at the First Travel Centre should you wish to protect yourself against this possibility.
First Travelcard is a stored value card that can be purchased in £10 and £20 denominations. It's transferable, flexible and has no expiry date. First Travelcard should be presented to the driver when you board the bus, state your destination and the driver will deduct the fare from your Travelcard.
Our Corporate travel Club could save employees in a company money. The Corporate Travel Club offers exclusive, discounted travel to any memebr of staff who chooses to use it. On occasions where the concessionary card does not read because of a card failure, the customer can take the following actions:
- Give the card to the driver who will ensure it's returned to Transport Scotland. The driver will then issue the customer with a 7 day concessionay pass that can be used on First Aberdeen services.
If you would rather not hand over your card you will be charged the full fare for the journey you are making.

The First Travel Centre is open Monday to Friday, 09:00 until 17:30 hours, Saturday from 09:00 until 16:30 hours and is closed Sundays.
Yes, our Travel Advisors at the First Travel Centre are only too happy to take your photograph for your photocard. A cost of £4 applies and 12 passport sized photographs are printed off and given to the customer.

Our Safe Journey Card has been designed specifically for the needs of many of our customers. With a Safe Journey Card you can privately let the driver know what kind of help you need and they will wait for you to reach your seat safely before pulling away. Safe Journey Cards are available at the First Travel Centre or you can download one from this website.
All advertising on First's buses is undertaken by a company called CBS. To obtain advertising rates you can contact the local CBS representative on 07966 564055
If any item is found by a member of our staff or is handed over to a driver, it will be taken back to our depot in King Street. From here all lost property is sent to the First Travel Centre if they have been found and handed in. A maximum administration fee of £2 is chargeable against items of lost property.
As part of our commitment to providing accessible travel for wheelchair users, virtually all our buses have a dedicated area for wheelchairs; other passengers are asked to give up the space for wheelchairs. Unfortunately if a fellow passenger refuses to move you may need to wait for the next bus.

There is limited space for buggies on board our buses. This can vary depending on the bus, the number of buggies and the size of the buggies. If there are already buggies on board the driver may ask you to fold your buggy. Please help us make the trip safe for everyone and don't block the aisles or exits of the bus with your buggy.
First Aberdeen takes accessibility of its services very seriously. To improve access to local bus services for users of mobility scooters, First has worked with others to develop the Mobility Scooter Code of Conduct. Full information is available here.
All recognised assistance animals travel free on First buses. This includes:
- Guide Dogs for the blind. This also includes free travel for registered Puppy Walkers who carry their ID card and travelling with a Guide Dog in training
- Hearing Dogs
- Disabled supprt dogs
- Canine Partner for Independence

Yes, we have a monthly Superstars scheme that forms part of our commitment to recognising the efforts and outstanding contributions of our staff. Anyone who works for First Aberdeen can be nominated - without exception. Every month we chose a Superstar for First Aberdeen and they receive £100 BonusBond shopping vouchers in recognition of their contribution to the business and service to customers. Nomination forms are available from the First Travel Centre or online.
Our Community Involvement Programme will consider both financial and in kind contributions. All external applications must be supported in writing by a First Aberdeen employee. We provide large print versions of all our current timetables. These can be easily downloaded from our timetable section or ask one of our Travel Advisors who will happily assist with your request.
First Aberdeen operate a Gig n Go service to and from major events and concerts at the AECC. Full service, timetable and fares information is available from here. Gig n Go tickets can be purchased in advance from any of our Travel Advisors.
If you are between 16 and 18 years and you live in Aberdeen, you can take advantage of great discounts on regular bus travel just by showing your proof of age when you purchase tickets at the First travel Centre. 16-18 year olds are eligible to purhase student week, 4 week and 12 week tickets as well as Unilik week, 4 week and 15 week tickets.
