Security First

We work very closely with the Police to deal with bus-related crimes, Police Sergeant Nigel Chapman from Avon and Somerset Constabulary is seconded to First to tackle these problems.

  • The smart and modern interior of the First fleet is often tarnished by mindless acts of graffiti and seat damage. Please report all incidents you see.
  • One of the most worrying trends in modern society is vandalism on public transport. Not only is this costly, but it can affect the services we operate if vehicles are out of service for repair. It can also be extremely dangerous.
  • Throwing stones and other missiles at buses may be some people's idea of fun but it can be life threatening. If you witness this, please report it to your local police station, as it is important that these hooligans are caught and prosecuted.

We also work closely with Crimestoppers. They give rewards for information about the people that cause vandalism and graffiti on buses. Call 0800 555111 in confidence if you have any information.

First will prosecute anyone found to be causing damage to our vehicles.
