These are the 5 Key Principles of the Smiths System " a unique advanced safe driving course that has already achieved huge success worldwide in increasing awareness of safe driving techniques and reducing accidents. The System recognises that most collisions are preventable if the correct driving habits are learned and practiced and the application of these 5 Key Principles has a proven direct positive effect on driving.
As part of an ongoing focus on safety issues, which will cover every aspect of safe travel for both our customers and staff, First Eastern Counties has taken the innovative step of providing Smiths System training for all of its drivers in the (area specific to press release)and will continue to provide on-going training to ensure that every one of its passengers experience a safe and comfortable journey.
From 9th March the company is raising the profile of Smiths System even further with a special "Smiths Week' - with the aim of continuing to make safe driving the number one priority.
This exciting week will see supervisors at each bus depot dressed in distinctive and eye-catching green G-KALM T-shirts. They will be refreshing drivers aptitude and knowledge of those 5 Key Principles and further promoting the daily use of every aspect of G-KALM - making every journey by bus as safe as it can be.
A high-profile poster campaign throughout all bus depots combined with competitions and prizes will ensure that every drivers knows and practices G-
