How to use Almex ticket machines
Almex ticket machines, which are designed to make boarding a bus easier and faster for passengers, will be fitted to our entire fleet of buses operating in Greater Glasgow during 2009.
Services operating from Dumbarton and Cumbernauld depot, including Kirkintilloch services, have already switched to Almex.
Fitted with smartcard technology, the machines work with microchip cards - like concessionary travel cards - and require passengers to place their cards on the ticket machine on board the bus, before the machines automatically issue the ticket.
Almex machines accept national entitlement cards for older and disabled people.
Your step-by-step guide to using Almex ticket machines
Upon boarding the bus simply place your national entitlement card on top of the Almex ticket machine.
The driver will then issue your ticket. Please take the ticket from the machine and keep it with you for the rest of your journey.
