Service 265
Brentwood to Lakeside
Service 265 affords a direct link between Brentwood town centre and Lakeside Shopping Centre. It also provides a direct link, for the first time, from the Cherry Avenue / Knights Way area, and from the villages of Ingrave, Herongate and West Horndon. If you live in Bulphan or Orsett, you can now enjoy a faster, more direct journey to Lakeside.
With two conveniently timed Monday to Friday journeys in each direction, there is a choice of a two-hour or a four-hour stay at Lakeside. Extra journeys run during school holiday times, offering four trips in each direction.
Service 265 can also be used to make more local journeys.
Stops
Service 265 calls on request at all established bus stops on line of route. Please signal clearly as the bus approaches. In addition, between West Horndon Station and Bulphan Church, and along Prince Charles Avenue in Orsett, where there are no recognised bus stops, the bus may be hailed and will stop at any suitable safe place. Between Bulphan, Plough Motel and Prince Charles Avenue, buses will run non-stop as there are currently no safe stopping places on the A128.
There will be timetable and route changes affecting route 265, to be introduced during June 2011. Details will be available here from early May.
