First operates the Tramlink service in and around Croydon. The operating company, First Tram Operations Ltd runs the service under contract to Transport for London.

London Tramlink (a division of Transport for London) oversees the operation of Tramlink. It has responsibility for Tramlink's infrastructure including the track and tram stops.
