With a fleet of over 1,000 buses, around 3,500 staff and a network of over 200 routes serving Leeds, York, Calderdale, Huddersfield and Bradford and reaching out to Ilkley, Skipton, Otley, Greater Manchester, Burnley, Rochdale and Oldham we are the biggest bus operator in the region. We are part of FirstGroup, the international bus and rail company.
Our colour coded Overground routes provide high frequency, easy to use bus services ideal for commuters, shoppers, getting to school, visiting friends or simply getting around. In York, we operate the award winning Park and Ride service, which keeps over a million cars a year out of the City Centre. We also operate Metro's Mybus Yellow School buses and other school services.
We offer a range of tickets to save you money on your travel, including FirstDay, FirstWeek and FirstMonth, along with discounted travel for kids with FirstDayOut and for families with FirstDay Family & Friends. Whether you're a regular traveller or you use our buses once in a while, we've got a ticket to suit your needs and your wallet. In Bradford, you can also take advantage of FirstCard, the first commercial smartcard system in Europe.

Our fleet is one of the youngest in the country, with an average age of under 6 years. We have invested over £23 million in new buses in recent years - with more to come! Most of our buses are fully accessible, making travel easier for customers with impaired mobility or parents with buggies.
