CCTV and Security

CCTV

For your safety and security, many of our buses are now equipped with CCTV - Closed Circuit Television. Some buses even have monitors to show you what is being recorded.

We will work with the police wherever necessary to provide CCTV images to help investigate assaults, violence and other anti-social behaviour on, or near, our buses.

If you are witness to an incident on our buses please inform the driver, contact First or the Police to help us make travelling with First as safe as possible. With co-operation from our customers we can prosecute those involved and stamp out violence and anti-social behaviour on board our buses to provide a safer journey for everyone.

First respect your privacy - all CCTV images are viewed and handled under the Data Protection Act.

Turn in a Tagger

Graffiti and vandalism make an unpleasant journey and means your bus may not run as it is off the road being cleaned. Crimestoppers give rewards for information about the people who cause this kind of damage - call them on 0800 555111 in confidence to make travelling on First buses a better experience for everyone.

First will prosecute anyone found to be causing damage to our vehicles.
