Tramlink Fares and Tickets Guide

Welcome to our Fares and Ticket Guide. You will find information here on all types of tickets, passes and photocards you can use to ride on Tramlink.

Pay as you go with Oyster

Adult 90p (all times). 16+, New Deal and Bus &: Tram Discount 45p (at all times). Valid for one single journey on a tram boarded within 70 minutes of touching your Oyster card on a card reader.

You must touch your Oyster card flat on the reader at the tram stop each time you board a tram. Please check for the green light when you touch in and that you hear one bleep – a red light and two bleeps means that the validation has not worked. If an error code appears please make a note of the number and call the Oyster helpline on 0845 330 9876.

Please note: Oyster single fares are capped so that however many journeys you make on trams and buses in a day, the most you will pay as an adult is £3.

Using Oyster at Wimbledon

Special arrangements apply for journeys to/from Wimbledon station, where there are automatic ticket gates.

To avoid being charged the maximum Tube cash fare, even if you have a valid Bus Pass or Travelcard season ticket, you must always touch in at the start of your tram journey and use your Oyster card to open the automatic gate when leaving Wimbledon station. Do not touch your card on the yellow reader by the manual gate when leaving the station.

If transferring from a tram to the Tube, you must touch in on one of the Oyster card readers on District Line Platforms 1-4.

When starting a tram journey at Wimbledon always use your Oyster card to open the automatic gate and also touch in on the Oyster card reader on Platform 10.

If transferring from the Tube to Tramlink you must touch in on one of the Oyster card readers on Platform 10.

Cash Fares

Buy from Tram stop ticket machines.

Cash single £2.00: Valid for 90 minutes from time bought, including one change of tram to reach destination. You must have a valid ticket before boarding a tram.

The same fare applies for transfer to/from tram feeder bus routes T31, T32, T33, 130 and 314 but a ticket to destination ‘Addington + bus’ must be bought.

Please note: Return tickets are no longer sold as the One Day Bus Pass, valid on trams and buses for the whole day, costs only £3.50.

If the ticket machine runs out of change, you can choose to be issued with a refund voucher instead, which can be changed at the Tramlink shop, 5 Suffolk House, George Street, CROYDON, CR0 1PE (in person or by post – we will refund postage costs).
