One of the best ways to appreciate Chester’s 2000 years of history is to take one of our open-top sightseeing tours. Tours last 55 minutes and your ticket is valid for 24 hours from purchase so may hop-on, hop-off the bus as often as you please. Frequent departures every day between March and October from various stops around the city including the Rail Station, The Groves (for the River Dee and Boat Cruises), Town Hall, Chester Visitor Centre and Lower Bridge Street. Buy your ticket on the bus, from Town Hall Tourist Information Centre, Chester Visitor Centre or at ChesterBoat.
Stops including: Chester Cathedral, Roman Amphitheatre, Racecourse, City Centre for The Rows and Eastgate Clock & River Dee for Boat Cruises.

First operate Route 1, every 20 minutes during the daytime on Mondays to Saturdays (every hour on Sundays) from Chester Bus Exchange to these popular attractions. Day tickets covering the First network in Chester & Wirral cost only £3.70 adult off-peak, child and family tickets are also available.
Route 1 also takes you to Liverpool, European City Of Culture 2008. Travel by bus to avoid the problems of finding a parking space and the cost of parking.
