First passenger pockets £250 with lucky bus ticket!

A Rochdale dad is looking forward to treating his family after winning £250 thanks to a lucky bus ticket.

Stanley Harper, 48, a regular user of the 409 Rochdale to Ashton route, won the cash after entering his ticket in our Travel To Win prize draw.

Stanley, who works as a cable technician, said: "I cant believe I won the cash just by collecting 4 of my FirstWeek tickets.

"I get the bus to work every day so to win this money thanks to my bus tickets is a massive bonus. I dont know what Im going to spend the money on but I think my wife and son already have a few ideas.'

The Travel To Win promotion was held to celebrate the launch of 17 new eco-friendly double deck buses on the 409 route which links Rochdale, Oldham and Ashton.

The service operates every 10 minutes Monday-Saturday daytime.
