This state-of-the-art 2,400-seat auditorium, with magnificent Marcussen pipe organ, opened in September 1996. Concerts range from classical and jazz through to world and popular music. Manchester City Football Club moved to their new home, the City of Manchester Stadium, in July 2003. The museum has one of the largest transport collections in the country with 90 buses and a small number of other vehicles that represent public transport in the Greater Manchester area, with archives and small exhibits.
