First in Manchester and Unite Agree Pay Deal

First and Unite have agreed a revised new pay deal that will be put before Bolton, Bury and Wigan bus drivers to vote week commencing 23 November 2009.

First and Unite have reached agreement on a pay deal after extensive negotiations involving ACAS. The new offer will now be put before drivers, with a strong Union recommendation for approval.

Andy Scholey, MD for First in Manchester, said: "I am happy that we have reached an agreement on a new revised pay deal with Unite who will now take this offer back to the bus drivers with a recommendation for acceptance.'

Services in Bolton, Bury and Wigan will continue to operate as normal.
