Business as usual for buses in Aberdeen
Bus services operated by First in Aberdeen returned to normal today (Thursday) following the acceptance of a two-year pay deal by drivers earlier this week.
First had expected to return to normal timetables only from Sunday 13 September, but has worked to bring this date forward to ensure passengers receive the best service possible as quickly as possible.
The change will affect all services except numbers 20, 25, 27, 40 and 80, which had operated as normal throughout this period.
It also means that all late night services will come back into operation from midnight on Friday 11/Saturday 12 September, providing a safe and reliable route home after a night out in the city.
Duncan Cameron, Operations Director with First in Aberdeen, said: "We are delighted to be resuming normal services for our passengers earlier than expected and we would like to thank each and every one of our customers for their patience and co-operation while the contingency timetables were in place.
"This brings a final end to the disruption experienced during the period of industrial action, which Im sure will be appreciated by all those who travel by bus in Aberdeen."
