Autumn reward for Aberdeen bus passengers

Bus passengers in Aberdeen will have more money in their pockets this autumn thanks to city bus operator, First in Aberdeen, which is offering discounts on two of its most popular season tickets from next month.

During October, the FirstMonth ticket - which offers unlimited travel across First's entire Aberdeen network for a full calendar month - will be available for just £45, a saving of £13 or 22% on the standard fare. The discounted ticket will be available for purchase from 1 to 31 October.

In addition, the First3Month season ticket, which already offers a significant saving on standard walk-on fares, will be discounted by a further £10 during October, November and December, providing passengers with even bigger savings. The discounted ticket (which will cost £145) will be available for purchase from 1 October until 31 December.

Joe Mackie, Commercial Director with First in Aberdeen said: "Our customers are vitally important to us and we wanted to thank them for their loyalty - what better way to do that than by discounting these season ticket fares for a period of time?

"Our discounted monthly ticket will be available throughout the whole of October, so that those passengers who may just have renewed their season tickets will still have an opportunity to take advantage of this terrific offer.

"And we wanted to ensure that those passengers who plan further ahead can also benefit, so the three months ticket will be available until the end of the year, providing savings right up to Christmas and beyond.

"These offers mean that our passengers will be able to take advantage of unlimited travel from just £1.45 per day, which is terrific value for money. We always work to put our customers first and this great offer ensures that we will continue to do just that."

These discounted tickets can be purchased at the First Travel Centre, 47 Union Street, Aberdeen or at First Reception, 395 King Street, Aberdeen. They are not available for purchase at any Post Office outlet. These discounted tickets cannot be purchased before 1st October 2009. They can be pre-dated, 7 days after 31st October only.
