747 AirLink – Linking Glasgow International Airport with Glasgow City Centre
From Sunday 25 May 2008 the 747 AirLink will be extended to serve Glasgow City Centre.
The newly extended service operates on a 30-minute frequency throughout the day linking Glasgow International Airport with Glasgow City Centre.
The 747 AirLink also provides an easy link to to many of Glasgow's finest shopping, tourist and business destinations operating from Buchanan Bus Station, Stance 44 via Charing Cross, Kelvingrove, Partick, Braehead, Xscape, Renfrew and Glasgow Airport.
Furthermore the service links into many of First’s comprehensive network of cross-city services that can be used seamlessly by purchasing a FirstDay or FirstWeek, unlimited travel ticket for £3.20 and £13.50 respectively.
Although the route change will mean that Byres Road and the Botanic Gardens will no longer be served by the route, services 8, 18, 89 and 90 can all be used to link Byres Road into service 747 at Dumbarton Road.
