Night Network Guide

Getting out and about after 7pm?

The network map has two main components:

  • The night bus map (opens in new window) shows you how bus routes operated by First can take you all over the city and beyond.
  • The map of the City Centre (opens in new window) shows a range of bars, restaurants, clubs and theatres in relation to the main bus stops.

High frequency weekend service

Eight of our most popular services (9, 12, 40, 56, 57, 62, 66 and 75) operate throughout the night at weekends, at a frequency of up to every 15 minutes, offering you the opportunity to get home safely and quickly using the bus whenever your night should eventually wind up. Please note these services curtail at 0430 hours. Click here for your night bus map (opens in new window).

Night Flat Fare

Between 0100 and 0430 a flat fare ticket is avaliable for only £2.10* from your driver. Outwith these hours normal fares apply, with the FirstDay ticket available for purchase throughout the night.

On all services you pay the driver as you get on. For a speedier journey all our services operate on an exact fare basis so please have the exact fare ready.

Night Network Guide

Safety is our number one priority and that is why we have teamed up with Glasgow City Council, Strathclyde Police and the Safer City Centre Programme to develop the “nite zone”, an initiative designed to help people get home from the city centre, after a good night out as quickly and as safely as possible.

Simply look out for the bus stops showing nite zone located on Union Street and Hope Street or click here for an easy access guide to your night out in Glasgow (opens in new window).
