BUS SERVICE DIVERSIONS FOR WOMEN'S 10K

First in Glasgow bus services on the south side of the city will be disrupted this weekend as a result of road closures put in place for the Women's 10K 2009 on Sunday 10 May.

Roads will be closed around Bellahouston Park, Maxwell Park and Pollok Park for the event, with closures coming into operation in the early hours of Sunday morning and remaining in place until around 1pm in the afternoon.

As a result bus services 34, 59 and 121 will operate on revised routes from the start of service until the roads reopen and passengers are advised to take this into account when planning journeys on 10 May.

The diversions are:
Service 34
To Govan: via normal route to Minard Road, then Darnley Road, Darnley Street, St Andrews Road, Shields Road, Seaward Street, Paisley Road, Paisley Road West and then normal route.

To Castlemilk: via normal route to Paisley Road West, then Paisley Road, Seaward Street, Shields Road, St Andrews Road, Darnley Street, Darnley Road, Minard Road and then normal route.

Bus stops between Crossmyloof and Halfway will not be used by service 34 while the diversions are in place.

Service 59
To city centre: via normal route to Bellahouston Drive, then Mosspark Boulevard, Corkerhill Road, Paisley Road West, Paisley Road, Seaward Street, Shields Road, St Andrew's Drive, Kenmure Street, Albert Drive and then continues along normal route

To Mosspark: via normal route to Albert Drive, then Kenmure Street, St Andrew's Drive, Shields Road, Seaward Street, Paisley Road, Paisley Road West, Corkerhill Road, Mosspark Boulevard, Bellahouston Drive and then continues along normal route.

Bus stops between Albert Drive at Kenmure Street and Mosspark Boulevard at Bellahouston Drive will not be used by service 59 during this time.

Service 121
To Govan: via normal route to Nithsdale Drive, then Darnley Street, St Andrews Road, Shields Road and then normal route.

To Victoria Infirmary: via normal route to Shields Road, then St Andrew's Road, Darnley Street, Albert Drive, Nithsdale Street and then normal route.

Bus stops between Darnley Street at Nithsdale Road and Shields Road at Albert Drive will not be used by service 121 during this time.
