Lost Property Moves Back to Larkfield
From week commencing Monday 22 June 2009 Glasgow's biggest bus operator, First, will revert to dealing with all aspects of its lost property from its Larkfield depot (with the exception of items lost on services operating out of Cumbernauld and Dumbarton depots).
A new dedicated lost property office is being established at Larkfield and personal callers will be required to call in to the gatehouse at the Victoria Road premises to collect their lost item.
All lost property items will be held by First for one month and they can be retrieved from Larkfield depot between 0830 to 1600hrs, Monday to Friday.
Alex Shearer, Executive Director of First in Glasgow, said: "Our lost property service is an important part of our business, reuniting owners with the many different items that get left behind on our buses every day. To ensure we offer our customers the best service we possibly can, we will be managing all lost property from our Larkfield Depot. Obviously we do encourage all passengers to ensure they have all personal items with them when they leave our buses, but for those who leave something behind, we will take good care of their possessions until they can be returned.'
All lost property enquiries relating to items lost on First buses (except those operating out of Cumbernauld and Dumbarton) should be directed to Larkfield Depot on 0141 423 6600.
