Using the table below, you can find out how much fuel and parking really costs you every week. Choose how many miles you drive every day (round trip) and then how much you pay in parking per day and you can then use the matrix to see how much this costs you during a normal 5 day working week.
|Miles commute (round trip)||£4||£5||£6||£7||Per Day|
|£20||£25||£30||£35||Per working week|
|Miles commute (round trip)||£8||£9||£10||Per Day|
|£40||£45||£50||Per working week|

- If you make an 8 mile round trip to commute and pay £4 per day for parking, you'll save up to £5.45 per week, which equates to £283.40 per year.
- If you make a longer commute at 16 miles round trip and pay £6 per day for parking, you'll save up to £22.55 per week, that's £1172.60 per year.

And remember, your FirstWeek ticket is valid at weekends too meaning you can save even more money if you decide to take the bus. You don't need to give up your car - there may always be times when it is more convenient - but consider your commute and see if a First bus can make the journey cheaper and give you time to read, listen to music or work on your way.
