Passengers told us they want their bus travel to be simpler and hassle free. So that's exactly what you can now expect - thanks to a new partnership between First, Stagecoach and South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive called Optio.
How does Optio make your bus travel easier?
The partnership means you can catch any participating bus along Optio Orange routes using an Optio Orange Day or Week ticket. Whatever the Operator, catch the next Optio Orange bus with an Optio Orange ticket.
- One ticket takes you there - jump on any participating bus along Optio Orange routes using your Optio Orange Day or Week ticket.
- The next bus is always yours - with your Optio Orange ticket, you can catch any participating operators' bus on Optio Orange routes.
- Less waiting time - because you can get on any bus, you won't usually have to wait more than 4 to 8 minutes for the next service 120 during the day. Combined frequency of First and Stagecoach 120 services between Royal Hallamshire Hospital and Crystal Peaks between 0730-1815 Monday to Friday. Plus we've made your evening services more frequent with one main route between Fulwood and Halfway.
Which buses can you catch?
Using your Optio Orange Day or Week ticket, you can catch any participating First or Stagecoach bus. Whether you want to travel from Halfway to Crystal Peaks, Sheffield City Centre, Hallamshire Hospital, Fulwood and back again, you can use your Optio Orange ticket on any of these Optio Orange services:
- 42, 44 (First)
- 120 (First/Stagecoach)
- 123 (Stagecoach/TM Travel)
Optio Orange tickets not available for purchase on TM Travel service 123.
What tickets are available?
To take advantage of Optio, you just need to ask for an Optio Orange Day Ticket - £3.40 or Optio Orange Week Ticket - £10.50 from the bus driver when you board.
Once you've bought your ticket, you can relax knowing you're free to catch any bus along the Optio Orange routes.
