Route 190 Reading to Bracknell. More space and comfort from 29 August

The reliability of buses between Bracknell and Reading has improved dramatically since 2006. There are some journeys on route 190 which have become very popular, particularly at the Reading end, so in order to provide a comfortable journey for everybody we are replacing the single-deck vehicles with double-deckers. Customers will receive an improved journey experience, particularly those travelling upstairs where legroom is more generous and views are unrivalled!

Our unlimited travel '190 4-week' ticket remains at just £55 and is valid at any time between Reading and Wokingham (St Annes Hotel). A weekly ticket is also available at £18. These can both be purchased from the driver as you board.

The introduction of double-deckers will happen gradually. Due to overhanging trees route 190 will be diverted away from Plough Lane and Bean Oak Road from 29 August. Route 152 will be adjusted to operate along Plough Lane and Bean Oak Road from the same date. Details can be found at affected bus stops, including how to make the short walk to the alternative route 190 stops on London Road.

We hope to introduce further improvements to route 190 in the future. You can follow the 190 at www.twitter.com/route190
