Route 53A and new 152

Route 53A between Bracknell and Winkfield/High Pines will be replaced by new route 152 from 18th April 2009.

There will be no change to the route around Winkfield, or to the general level of service, although some times will change slightly. Route 153 will continue to provide peak-hour journeys on Mondays to Fridays.

New route 152 will provide a service to Quelm Park for the first time, picking up and setting down in Newport Drive on its way between Warfield Tesco and Bracknell Bus Station.

Route 152 also replaces route 53A between Bracknell and Binfield, but will operate via Temple Way between Popeswood Roundabout and Forest Road. Buses will continue beyond Binfield to Wokingham, via St Mark's Road and London Road, restoring the link between Binfield and Wokingham that was lost in December 2006.

The section of 53A between Binfield and Maidenhead has already been replaced by routes 4 and 4C, operated by Courtney Coaches.
