MORE BUSES TO BROOMFIELD HOSPITAL AND CHELMSFORD RAILWAY STATION

From Monday 19 October, First East England Buses will be offering passengers in Chelmsford even more travel options when it introduces extra services and increased frequency on its popular 42 route. The 42 provides an invaluable link between Broomfield Hospital " Chelmsford Railway Station " Tile Kiln Estate " Galleywood and is popular with hospital workers and visitors, commuters linking with the Railway Station and leisure travellers.
The new timetable will see an increased frequency to every 12 minutes, Monday to Saturday daytime, which means travellers now have the option of 5 buses every hour on the route.
In addition early morning links to Chelmsford Railway Station have been enhanced by the introduction of additional early morning services from Galleywood at 0541 and 0601, Monday to Fridays, meaning five journeys starting before 7am, providing conveniently timed services to commuters linking with trains to London.
The First 42 provides the highest frequency of service of any bus operator on the route, with its new regular frequency up until 8pm on weekdays, offering those commuters returning from work in the evening an even greater choice, followed by a half-hourly service after 8p.m.
Regular travellers can take advantage of some great value weekly, monthly and annual tickets " undoubtedly the combination of extra frequency and unbeatable value for money tickets makes the First 42 an irresistible travel option.
