Bus Drivers Red Nose Pledge for Comic Relief
First bus drivers helped to raise a smile from passengers by wearing a Red Nose in support of Comic Relief.
First distributed 10,000 noses to bus drivers across the UK to remind people about the event as soon as they boarded the bus. They wore them with pride and helped raise awareness among Bristols bus users.
Tony Anthistle, Managing Director of First's bus operations in Bristol and Somerset and Avon says: "We are proud to be supporting Comic Relief and giving our drivers the opportunity to show their support by wearing red noses."
Meanwhile First drivers Dawn Hadley and Paula Davidson washed cars and a Red Nose Bus in just their t-shirts.
Dawn and Paula are both based at the Lawrence Hill Depot and between them theyve been driving First buses for the past six years. They asked their colleagues to donate five pounds for every car cleaned in aid of the charity.
