First Changes to Bath City Centre Bus Stops

As part of the regeneration of Baths Southgate area First would like to inform customers of changes to bus services and bus stops from the 6th May. To allow the redevelopment of Hams Gardens Car Park to be carried out safely bus stops will be moved from Railway Street.

The following First services will be affected: 2, 702, 4, 704, 5, 18 and the 418.

All the above services currently operating from Railway Street are being relocated. The 418 to Bath Spa University will still run from Dorchester Street Bh and in addition the service will operate from Green Park Road stop Ww.

The following changes are being made to First buses from 6 May 2007:

· Service 2, 702 to Ensleigh will operate from the Ambury stop Wq.
· Service 4, 704 to Bathampton will operate from the Ambury stop Wq.
· Service 5 to Whiteway will operate from Green Park Road stop Wx.
· Service 18, 418 to the University of Bath will operate from Corn Street stop Wt.
· Service 418 to Bath Spa University will operate from Dorchester Street stop Bh also Green Park Park Road stop Ww.

First would like to remind customers that the bus station will move from ‘Manvers Street to a new location at ‘Avon Street in June. Whilst we do not anticipate any disruption to our services we will be providing customers with information about the relocation in due course via the local media and through our own information leaflets and posters.

First has been working with Bath & North East Somerset Council to minimise the disruption to customers and apologises for any inconvenience, that customers may experience during the redevelopment.
