Fares Review

First Reviews its FirstDay and Season Tickets.

Following a review of services across the region and with a view to improving and increasing reliability and punctuality First is announcing revisions to its fare and service structures.

From the 5 August 2007, a new pricing structure will be introduced on FirstDay and Season tickets only. This is the first increase on these tickets in nearly 2 years.

First is pleased to announce that we have been able to decrease the price of a FirstDay Bristol (peak) ticket by 40p to £4.00 on any route in Zone 1 and Zone 2. First has also reduced the FirstDay Yeovil (peak) ticket by 10p to £3.50.

The service changes relate to frequency with the majority being in the Bristol and South Gloucestershire areas.

Simon Cursio, Commercial Director of First in Bristol, Somerset and Avon said ‘This is the first time we have increased fares on FirstDay and Season tickets for nearly two years. Our research tells us that if we are to deliver the reliability and punctuality standards our passengers deserve we have to implement these changes.
