26.10.07

Ongoing work along A420 corridor, particularly in the Lawrence Hill area, caused delays of varying degrees throughout the working day. (Affected services: 6, 7, 36, 41, 43, 44, 45, X67 & 332)
Ongoing temporary signal on Russell Town Avenue for Traffic management works. (Affected services 6 & 7)
Bath Road/Callington Road junction " New layout causing delays of varying degrees in the general area. (Affected services 36, 339 X39, 904)
Temporary traffic lights in West Street Old Market caused delays of varying degrees
Cadogan Road closed due to sewer repair works " Diversion and associated, at times significant, delays to service 51 and Park & Ride vehicles going to & from the site at Brislington

09:07 " Service 41 at Bell Hill Road a Driver called ambulance for a pedestrian who tripped on the pavement. Delay to service.


Congestion throughout South Bristol due to local football match.
Congestion reported in the Cribbs Causeway/Mall area throughout the afternoon.


28.10.07

Stapleton Road closed due to ongoing Police murder investigations. Services 4, 24, 48, 49 & N2 diverted for the duration.
Penn Street closed all day for a crane removal. Services 8, 9, 40, 43, 44, 45, 48 & 49 diverted

14:11 " Due to double parking in Union Street and associated delays, services 6, 7 & 36 were diverted via Bond Street

29.10.07

Temporary signals in place on Wells Road delaying vehicles in the Totterdown area. (Affected services 51, 52, 54, 376)

19:53 " Police in attendance at Clouds Hill Road at junction with Plummers Hill, closed due to reported gas leak. Service 43 diverted. At 20:10 Police re-opened the road as no leak was found

30.10.07

07:04 " Road traffic accident outside of House of Fraser in Haymarket. Road reduced to single lane with associated delays
07:15 " Road traffic accident at Lawrence Hill involving a car and a motor cyclist caused long delays in an area already experiencing severe congestion

Long delays reported in the North of Bristol believed to be as a result of motorway incidents
17:50 " Heavy haulage vehicle transporting Steam Train from Bitton via Oldland towards A420. Delays in the area.

18:10 " Service 51 at Totterdown objects were thrown over the windscreen so cleaning was required.

Delays on Fishponds road due to temporary signals
13:35 " Police incident on Stapleton Road Temporarily closed the road. Re-opened at 13:55

17:07 " Service 24 at Gainsborough Square, Lockleaze - vandalism to the rear of the vehicle.
Congestion reported as heavier than normal in the Clifton area

13:00 " Delays in Hareclive Road near Morrisons new development. Buses unable to access stop as lorries parked in lay-by.
Congestion reported as very heavy in the Lawrence Hill area due to redevelopment of the road lay-out

14:30 " Roadworks at Langley Crescent, Ashton Vale now completed. No reported major issues as a result of this work, which was in place throughout the week and required a minor diversion for services 24 & 25

Portway closed due to rock inspections. Increased traffic on Whiteladies road as a result with associated delays of varying degrees throughout the day

Delays experienced on Fishponds Road. No known reason
19:12 " Buses unable to proceed from Penn Street to Lower Castle Street. All affected services were required to divert via Broadweir, Bristol Bridge, Counterslip prior to resuming normal routes in Old Market.

HGV broken down on M5 between J18 & 19. Delays tailing back to J16. Whilst this did not directly affect bus services, long delays were experienced in North Bristol until well after the evening peak. The effects were particularly felt at Cribbs Causeway, Aztec West, A4174 & M32 with associated delays.
