First announces changes to Bristol - Dursley bus services
First is making changes to bus services 309 and 310 between Bristol and Dursley.
Changes are being made to the timetable and the route in order make the service more efficient and reliable.
From 1 February, the services will become:
309 - Bristol - Thornbury via Cribbs Causeway
310 - Bristol - Dursley via Thornbury
There will be no change to the current frequency of services.
Service 310 will be re-routed in Dursley via Dursley Road to Kingshill Road instead of via The Quarry, Tyndale Road, Woodfield Road, Manor Avenue, High Street, Chapel Street, Woodview Road and St Georges Road.
There are alternative local services run by other operators for most parts of Cam that will no longer be served by the 310.
Service 310 will not serve Cribbs Causeway however customers will be able to change buses in Patchway and connect with Service 73 (every 12 minutes) to travel to Cribbs Causeway.
First Bristol, Somerset and Avon Managing Director Justin Davies said, "These changes are driven by the need to improve efficiency and reliability. We understand that some people will be inconvenienced but the changes are necessary if we are to run a reliable and sustainable bus service for the majority of passengers."
The changes will come into effect from 1 February 2009, with timetables available in week commencing 19 January.
