Service Changes
Service Changes affecting buses running from Bristol Bus Station from 29 November 2009
Over recent months the changes in the wider economy have meant that peoples travel patterns have changed. To reflect this and better match our resources to current demand, were making some changes to local bus services from 29 November.
Changes to services running from Bristol Bus Station are listed below. Changes to Bristol City services can be found in the main service change page on this website.
Services X10, X11, X14 - Bristol - Magor and Bristol - Newport: These services will run in two sections - Bristol to Chepstow and Chepstow to Magor/Newport with through fares, guaranteed connections and no requirement for through passengers to change buses. There will also be minor changes to the timetable to improve punctuality.
Service X39 - Bristol - Bath: In line with customer demand, on weekday mornings, buses from Bristol Bus Station between 0800 and 1000 will run every 15 minutes instead of every 12 minutes. Buses from Bath Bus Station between 0700 and 0900 will also run every 15 minutes.
Service 178 - Bristol - Bath via Midsomer Norton: The timetable of this service is changing.
309/310 - Bristol - Thornbury/ Dursley: There are a number of changes to this service:
· Following customer requests, the route is changing in Dursley to serve Cam. Buses will also serve Cam and Dursley Rail Station for the first time.
· The timetable is changing to improve punctuality and the service will now serve all stops on the route.
· Weve also introduced a change to the evening journey leaving Bristol at 2250 - this will now call at The Venue in Cribbs Causeway throughout the week, giving new opportunities for customers living in Thornbury to visit the cinema.
· Following customer requests, we are changing departures times at afternoon peak times from Bristol Bus Station to make them more even.
· There is also a new journey leaving Thornbury at 1900 on Monday - Saturday and the journey leaving Bristol at 0650 will be extended to Charfield and Wotton-under-Edge.
· The service will now run in two sections: Bristol - Thornbury Health Centre and Thornbury Health Centre to Dursley with through fares, guaranteed connections and no requirement for through passengers to change buses.
Service 351 - Bristol - Weston (Via Claverham and North Worle) : This service which operated three morning and three afternoon peak journeys will no longer run due to low customer use.
Service 352 - Weston - Bristol (Via Claverham and Long Ashton): On Mondays to Saturdays, the route of this service will change to run along Long Ashton by-pass instead of Long Ashton Village. Long Ashton village will continue to be served by Service 354 on Monday to Saturdays and Service 353 in the evenings and on Sundays. Service 362 and 363 also serve the village. The majority of departures from Bristol Bus Station will leave 20 minutes earlier.
Service 353 and Service X1 - Bristol - Weston: Due to low customer demand, a number of journeys will no longer run. These are journeys leaving Weston at 0520 and 1715 (Mon-Fri), 2040 and 2155 (Sundays), leaving Bristol Bus Station at 0755, 0830 (Mon- Fri) and 2150 and 2300 (Sundays) and one journey leaving Cleeve at 0718. To ensure that there is an even frequency of buses on both services, the times of other journeys are also changing.
All changes are Monday to Friday unless stated.
Timetables will be available approximately 2 weeks before the change.
