Service Changes
Changes to Services 1, 36, 36A, 51, 52 , 89/90, 73 and 74 from 3 August
To improve reliability, First is making a number of timetable changes to services based on a new satellite tracking system introduced earlier this year which tracks actual journey times. In addition we are making changes to the routes of some services.
Service 1 Cribbs Causeway " Broomhill
To improve reliability the timetable has been completely changed. All Monday to Friday daytime buses will now serve Cribbs Causeway and will run up to every 12 minutes. In addition all services to the Centre will be rerouted to stop at Canford Lane instead of Westbury High Street.
Service 36/36A Centre - Withywood
These services have been combined to provide one simple bus service between the Centre and Withywood. Monday to Friday buses will continue to run every 15 minutes with customers travelling between Broadwalk and Brislington benefiting from an increased frequency. There will be no change to evening and weekend frequencies. The timetable of this service has also been completely changed to improve reliability.
Service 51 Centre " Rookery Farm
Buses will now operate every 12 minutes at peak times Monday to Friday. To improve reliability of this service the timetable has been completely changed.
Service 52 Hengrove " Inns Court
The timetable of this service has been completely changed to improve reliability. All Monday to Friday daytime journeys will now serve Hengrove Depot and will run every 20 minutes. There will be no change in frequency to evening and weekend services.
Service 89/90 Broadmead - Hengrove
To provide an improved bus service for the majority of customers in the area, Service 89 and 90 are being combined to provide a new Service 90 that will no longer operate in Leinster Avenue.
The new Service 90 will run every 12 minutes Monday to Saturday daytimes and every 20 minutes in the evenings. On Sundays, Service 90 will run between Broadmead and Inns Court Green every 20 minutes.
Service 73
The timings along certain journeys have been altered by 1-2 minutes to provide a more reliable service.
Service 74
Due to low customer demand we will no longer run the following journeys " 0714 and 0757 to the Centre and 1725 to Bakers Ground. We will continue to run the 0737 journey to the Centre and the 1743 journey to Bakers Ground.
