Changes to services X62, 74 and X74 in Bristol from 1 February 2009

Regrettably, we will be withdrawing services X62, 74 and X74 from February next year.

These services suffer from extremely low customer demand. For example, we fill on average just 20% of seats on Service X62, despite a marketing campaign and fares promotion with reduced-price journeys.

These services represent a tiny percentage of our total services in Bristol, just 15 daily journeys from a total of more around 3,000.

We can not continue to run such unpopular services - we must use our buses and drivers where they are most needed.

There are alternative services available for most people:

Service 74 and X74

Customers living in Little Stoke may catch First services 73 or X73

Service X62

If you live in Blackhorse - Service 48/49
In Downend - Service 48
In Mangotsfield - 49
In Bromley Heath - 4

There are also other services offered by other bus operators.
