First is changing some bus services in Bristol from Sunday 27 September. These are in addition to changes to services 8 & 9 and 24 & 25 which have been announced already. Bristol City Council is also making some changes to services 5, 7 and 52. Please visit their website for details of this.

Service 1 - Cribbs Causeway - Broomhill

The timetable of services on Sundays will change to match what currently runs on Bank Holidays, with an additional 9 journeys including better options for Cribbs Causeway as a result.

Service 4 - Centre - Downend

The timetable is changing to improve punctuality and reliability, and there is a change of bus stop in Broadmead, with buses now calling at Penn Street (C) which is closer to Cabot Circus.

Service 5 - Centre - Downend

The timetable is changing with a slight reduction in the number of journeys and frequency during peak hours. Journeys departing at 0807, 0837,1623,1723,1835 from the Centre and 0756 and 0925 from Downend will be withdrawn. This service will now run at least every 30 minutes throughout the day, including peak times. (Mon- Sat daytime)

Service 6 - Centre - Kingswood/ Longwell Green

There are minor changes to the timetable with buses more evenly spaced at peak times. This means that there will be a bus every 15 minutes throughout the day on Monday " Friday. Some peak journeys will no longer run as a result.

Service 7 - Centre - Staple Hill

There are a number of changes to the route and timetable with more evenly spaced buses at peak times. The journeys departing from the Centre at 0748 and 06:39, 0713, 1745 from Staple Hill will be withdrawn, but the overall frequency on Monday to Saturday remains unchanged.

The route around Staple Hill is changing giving additional buses for residents around Page Park. This route alteration is due to a change in the terminus point to improve safety and reduce congestion.

An additional bus stop will be introduced towards Bristol on Morley Road and one bus stop on Teewell Hill will no longer be served.

Customers currently boarding buses towards Bristol City Centre at the Portcullis bus stop in Broad Street will in future need to wait at the bus stop (heading towards Kingswood) on Soundwell Road.

Services 8 & 9, and 24 & 25

Changes to these services have already been published- you can find more information on our Regional Home page.

Services 48 and 49 - Centre - Emersons Green

Service 51 - Centre - Rookery Farm

There are changes (up to 8 minutes) to the departure times of Monday to Friday afternoon peak journeys from the Centre with buses departing more evenly.

Service 52 - Hengrove - Inns Court Green

There are major changes with all Monday " Saturday journeys on the section of route between Inns Court Green and Broadmead withdrawn with the exception of some early morning journeys financially supported by Bristol City Council. This is due to overall low usage. Every road affected will continue to be served by alternative services.

However, we are pleased to announce that we are finalising timetables for a new Service 91 between Broad Walk Square, Melvin Square, Leinster Avenue, Bedminster and Broadmead, with the possibility of extending this to Broad Walk Square. This is as a direct result of consultation with MP Dawn Primarolo and community groups in the area.

Service 52 will now run between Broadmead (Stop Sp in the Horsefair) and Hengrove with a new link created to serve Imperial Park.

Service 54 & 54A - Cribbs Causeway - Stockwood

The timetable of services on Sundays will change to match what currently runs on Bank Holidays with a small number of additional journeys.

Most Monday - Saturday evening departure times will be changing to run 15 minutes later in both directions. This will give later last buses and also provide a better spaced timetable on the common section of the route with Service 1 between Whiteladies Road and Temple Meads.

Service 75 and 76 - Hartcliffe - Cribbs Causeway / Henbury

There are changes to the timetable to improve reliability and punctuality with evening journeys on service 75 are extended to The Venue at Cribbs Causeway.

The route is also changing to operate along Brierly Furlong and New Road near Parkway Station to allow buses to take advantage of the new bus link from New Road to Brierly Furlong.

Full timetables will be available approximately 2 weeks before the changes.
