Scholars Pass

If you or your child regularly use the bus to travel to and from School/College in Devon or Cornwall a First scholar bus pass is ideal. First scholar bus passes can be purchased for half or full school/college terms (spring, summer or autumn) or annually (all terms), and offer:

  • Peace of mind for parents
  • Convenience - no more looking for change for the bus!
  • Discounts if 2 or more passes are purchased at the same time

First scholar bus passes are available for students aged up to the age of 18 years who are attending full time education for at least 16 hours per week. They are valid for one journey from your start location to your academic institution arriving prior to 09:00 and one journey back from your academic institution (to your start location). The First scholar bus pass is also valid for unlimited travel on all First bus services after 16:00 Monday to Friday during term time. Travel will be allowed on Saturdays and Sundays but not before 09:00. The term pass is also valid for travel after 09:00 during the half term holiday (during the term it is valid) and the holiday period at the end of the term the pass was valid for (excluding the Summer vacation period). The annual pass is valid for use after 09:00 during each half term, plus after 09:00 during the Christmas, Easter and summer holiday periods.

The First scholar pass must be shown to the driver on every journey. If no pass can be produced at the time of travel then the ordinary single fare must be paid. If a pass is lost, defaced or stolen and the holder has Season Ticket Replacement Insurance up to 2 replacement passes can be issued. Once you know the price of your pass please complete the form providing either your credit or debit card details (American Express is not accepted) or stating you wish to pay by cheque. Once completed please post the form along with a passport sized photograph of the pass holder (and your cheque if paying by that method) to:
