Changes to First bus services in St Austell from Sunday 18th January 2009

First bus services in the St Austell area will be changing as from 18th January 2009. The new network of services will be as follows

Service 22 St Austell - St Dennis - Truro via Foxhole and Grampound Road
Service 25 St Austell - St Blazey - Par - Fowey via Bethel and Holmbush.
Service 26 St Austell - Mevagissey via Pentewan.
Service 27 St Austell - Truro - Royal Cornwall Hospital Treliske via Probus.

Service 22 will be extended from St Dennis to St Austell. This will now provide better links between the villages around St Dennis and Truro. Buses through most of the day will operate hourly between St Dennis and St Austell, extended roughly every 2 hours to Truro.

Service 25 will provide the main service between St Austell, Bethel, Holmbush, St Blazey, Par and Fowey. Buses will operate every 30 minutes to Par and every hour to Fowey. The route in Fowey has been changed in order to accommodate super low floor buses.

Service 26 will operate between Mevagissey and St Austell on a hourly basis.

Service 27 continues to provide the main service between St Austell, Truro and the Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske.

First also continue to operate the former Truronian bus services T9 between St Austell Railway Station and The Eden Project, and Service T24 between St Austell and Lostwithiel.

Cornwall County Council will be providing a replacement bus route to serve St Austell, Penrice Hospital, Duporth, Charlestown and Crinnis. For more details please contact Cornwall County Council by calling 01872 322003.

New timetables will be available from the First Travel Shops in Truro and Camborne Bus Stations shortly or can be downloaded via the link at the bottom of this article.
