Changes to First services 17 and 48 from Sunday 30 August 2009

Service 17 operating between Plymouth and Jennycliff will be withdrawn after operation on Saturday 29 August.

Following a review of passenger numbers and the cost of operation exceeding the return in revenue it is with regret that this service is no longer commercially viable.

Alternative journeys are available along sections of this route using ugobus service 2 which serves Mount Batten Pier, Hooe Lake, Goosewell (Greenpark Road), Plymstock Broadway (West), Pomphlett (Foresters Road), Sugar Mill and Plymouth City Centre.

The timetable for Service 48 has also been revised. From Sunday 30 August 2009 most journeys will operate 5 minutes later. This service will now be provided by a midi bus as opposed to a double decker vehicle and minibus to improve journey quality and offer super low floor access.
