Southampton - A new link between Portswood, Swaythling and the General Hospital

Thanks to funding from Southampton City Council, First is pleased to announce the re-introduction of a limited number of journeys between Portswood and Shirley starting on Monday 11 May 2009.

Buses numbered 7A will run from the City Centre to Portswood, Bassett Green, General Hospital, Shirley and finish at Millbrook Tescos. Although the journeys will only run between about 0900 and 1430, this service is being run as a trial and the long term future of the route will depend on how many passengers use it.

We encourage customers to make full use of the restored links to ensure that funding from the council can be continued.
